Bixbyite on Hematite ps. After Almandine Garnet (rare)

An extremely rare and aesthetic thumbnail combination pseudomorph from this well-known locale, famous for topaz, red beryl and bixbyite specimens. Hematite has pseudomorphed a nifty intergrown cluster of four sharp almandine garnet crystals. Lustrous, sharp jet-black bixbyite crystals, to 4 mm, are nicely scattered on both sides of this fine rarity. Almandine is very rare from here anyways and these pseudomorphs are just not found often. Superb little specimen!
