Bixbyite (ex Willard Wulff Collection - Collected by Ed Over)

A lovely specimen of Bixbyite on altered Topaz from Utah. A nice little thumbnail display specimen of this hard to rare material from this classic locality. This piece comes from the collection of Willard W. Wulff (1904-1998) of Colorado Springs, Colorado, a prominent figure and collector of Colorado minerals. Wulff was one of the founding members of the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society in 1936. The piece comes mounted in a "Perky" box from Wulff with a label on the bottm that states the piece was collected by Edwin Over, who was also one of the founding members of the CSMS. A wonderfully historic and eye-catching specimen of this well known old time material.
