Item Description
It's not often that we get our hands on fossils from Pakistan, but a friend in Peshawar sold us a small parcel of rarely seen, attractive marine bivalve fossils. This piece is quite well-preserved in its form, and it's quite unusual in terms of the part of the world where it was found. It has a beautiful "heart"-shape when it's viewed from the side. I found a USGS paper with some information on the locality for anybody who would like to read more: http://pubs.usgs.gov/of/1989/0427/report.pdf
