Item Description

A cool piece of ore from the famous locality at Jachymov (Joachimstal) featuring silvery Native Bismuth associated with grey Skutterudite and coated by a soft pink layer of Erythrite. These are rare from any Czech locality. The Bismuth shows a tiny bit of crystalline form when viewed up close. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#11217). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
