Item Description
This is the first specimen of Native Bismuth that we've had to offer from this locality. This small miniature features many small, silvery-grey colored striated and skeletal crystals of Bismuth on host rock matrix. The crystals look very nice up close. If you collect native elements, German minerals, or if you have a suite of Bismuth specimens, this is a great piece to add as the Maischacht Mine is a rare locality for Bismuth specimens. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#12347). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
