"Bisbeeite" (ex Kay Robertson Collection)

It should be noted that Bisbeeite is no longer a valid species. I believe much of what was called Bisbeeite is now Plancheite. Bisbeeite isn't reported from any localities in La Paz County, but this piece simply came labeled as coming from "nr. Salome, AZ". With that said, I don't know how reliable the species or the locality information is on this piece, so please keep that in mind. It may have come from a reliable source originally, but it's hard to say with isolated instances like this. The piece features small patches of what is said to be massive green Bisbeeite (probably Plancheite) on host rock matrix. The oddball locality is what makes this one distinctive. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#6454). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
