Item Description

Lustrous, butterscotch-colored, bipyramidal wulfenite crystals are festooned in clusters and as discrete crystals on three sides of the undulating, sculptural, robust, gossan matrix. The largest crystal is 1.7 cm and is doubly terminated. More doubly terminated crystals are scattered about. The matrix also includes a festooning of botryoidal aggregates of sparkly, greenish-brown mimetite microcrystals. For such dense coverage, the few broken crystals are barely noticeable. This is a fine, rich and showy piece from this find.
