Item Description

A showy and excellent wulfenite specimen from recent finds at the famous Mina Ojuela. Lustrous, butterscotch-colored, bipyramidal wulfenite crystals are festooned in clusters and as discrete crystals on three sides of the undulating, sculptural, robust, gossan matrix. The largest crystal is 1.8 cm and is doubly terminated. The matrix also includes innumerable botryoidal aggregates of sparkly, olive-green mimetite microcrystals. For such dense coverage, the few broken crystals are barely noticeable. This is a fine, rich and showy piece from this find.
