Item Description

Discrete crystals of lustrous, butterscotch-colored, bipyramidal wulfenite are strikingly and richly scattered on mounded sturdy gossan matrix. The striking doubly terminated crystal is 2.0 cm and the imposing, stout, upright crystal is 1.8 cm. The matrix here is covered with spherical aggregates of tiny, sparkly, brown mimetite crystals and there are beautiful apple-green mimetite botryoids on the back. This showy and excellent piece is notable for having much less dense coverage of wulfenite crystals, than most specimens we have seen from the recent finds at the famous Mina Ojuela.
