Item Description

Lustrous, butterscotch-colored, bipyramidal, wulfenite crystals are richly and aesthetically scattered on two sides of the large, sturdy, mounded, gossan matrix on this excellent specimen from Mina Ojuela. The largest crystal is 1.0 cm (DT) and there are a few more DT crystals. Sparkly spherical aggregates of brown to yellow-green mimetite cover much of the matrix and are a fine accent. Broken crystals are noted, mainly on one edge of the periphery, but certainly nothing to detraction. This is a showy, representative and large piece for the find and species and has two fine display views.
