Item Description

A showy and excellent CABINET wulfenite specimen from recent finds at the famous Mina Ojuela. Lustrous, butterscotch-colored, bipyramidal wulfenite crystals are festooned on the undulating, sculptural, robust, gossan matrix. Several crystals are 1.6 cm and a few are doubly terminated. There is also a rich sprinkling of calcite micro-scalenohedrons. For such dense coverage, the few broken crystals are barely noticeable. This is a fine, rich and showy piece from this find and even has a fine bonus, with large discrete crystals to 1.8 cm (dt) on the back.
