A historic and excellent, old-time specimen from Massachusetts. A thick "book" of black biotite plates has brilliant silvery luster. This showy, old, classic is from the English Colonel Joseph Neeld Collection # 3556 (which resurfaced in England in the early 1980s), and dates to the early 1800s. The fact, that an American specimen of this age resided in an English collection speaks volumes as to the quality and rarity of the piece, at that time.
