Item Description
Bindheimite is a moderately uncommon stibiconite group secondary mineral occurring in the oxidized zones of antimony-bearing lead deposits. This large and showy specimen, with earthy bindheimite in yellow, brown, and reddish-brown swirl partterns, is essentially solid bindheimite. This is CLASSIC, OLD-TIME and SELDOM available material from the famous St. Endellion area of Cornwall. An OLD paper label is glued to the back of the piece and also comes with a Warner & Grieger label, well-known California dealers and collectors, prior to World War II. This piece is from the John Grieger Collection. Not pretty to look at, but certainly a highly representative and seldom available old-timer of the species and famous locale.
