Bikitaite is a very rare zeolite species, named after the Bikita District in Zimbabwe, where the type locality lies. Large and well-formed crystals like this are exceptional and rare. For certain, the finest examples are those from the famed Foote Mine in North Carolina. This big, beautiful blade has the high luster and colorless transparency so desired in the species, and RARELY seen in this size. Typically Bikitaite is found in micro crystals and this one is certainly among the largest examples we've had to offer. A superb and important thumbnail from this famous locality.
