Bi-pyramidal Wulfenite (rare) with Calcite

Bi-pyramidal wulfenite crystals are very uncommon from Los Lamentos. Sharp, lustrous, butterscotch-colored crystals are festooned on the sculptural vug lined with starkly contrasting, yellow, oxide-coated, calcite rhombs and a second generation of gemmy, colorless rhombs. The striking, large, wulfie spire on the edge is 1.5 cm and the doubly terminated doublet on the other end is 1.6 cm. Rare and excellent, old-time combination material from the 1950s or 60s.
