Item Description
An important, LARGE CABINET wulfenite specimen. Lustrous, bi-pyramidal, butterscotch-colored wulfenite crystals are festooned on this sculptural and 3-dimensional specimen from the 2008 find at the famous Mina Ojuela at Mapimi, Mexico. Some of the crystals are doubly terminated, including the largest, at 2.0 cm. This piece has incredibly dense coverage, all sides are packed with wulfenites! Amazingly, very few crystals are broken, as you can see! We got most of the lot, which we debuted at the 2008 Tucson Show! This is one of the finest large pieces from the lot, not a cast-off, and we want to have our auction customers to have an opportunity to obtain a superb piece from the first major Mexican wulfenite find, since the San Francisco wulfies in the mid-90s. The base has been sawed to enhance the display quality. We have added extra photos to highlight the quality of this piece. The exact mine location is Level 6, San Juan Poniente vein. Valued at $2000.
