Item Description
Lustrous, BI-PYRAMIDAL, butterscotch-colored wulfenite crystals are FESTOONED on this AESTHETIC specimen from a BRAND NEW find at the famous Mina Ojuela at Mapimi, Mexico. Crystals reach 2.2 cm (DOUBLY TERMINATED!) on this fine piece, which looks like a hedgehog, it has so many crystals. AMAZINGLY, very few crystals are broken, as you can see! There are contacted crystals on the back, but they are totally out of sight. These were recently found and we got most of the lot, which we debuted at last year"s Tucson Show! This is an EXCELLENT representation of this new find, not a cast-off, and we want to have our auction customers to have an opportunity to obtain a fine piece from the first major Mexican wulfenite find, since the San Francisco wulfies in the mid-90s. The exact mine location is Level 6, San Juan Poniente vein. The base has been sawed to enhance the display quality of this excellent mounded specimen.
