Item Description
A lovely two-sided cluster of eight bi-colored tourmalines is aesthetically accented with a striking boxwork of cleavelandite blades on this showy and excellent combination specimen from Stak Nala. The highly lustrous, striated prisms have black, schorl bodies. Five prominent crystals on the skyline have gemmy, pretty grass-green sections just below the lustrous, black, pyramidal terminations or along the edges. In fine shape. The six crestal crystals are pristine, with another hidden in cleavelandite blades. An edge tourmaline is broken. Fine material from the Herb Obodda dealer stock valued by Herb at $500, more than five years ago. Stak Nala tourmaline crystal clusters of this richness and quality were not that common. The piece looks great from either side and displays well without aid.
