Item Description
A juicy, bi-colored, tourmaline from the famous Himalaya Mine. Most of the gemmy, lustrous, well-striated, beauty is a pleasing mint-green. The lustrous, modified, pinacoidal termination is black and the crystal base is opaque, dark green. Very nearly pristine, but for some minute wear on one termination edge, but is certainly not a detraction. Solid green, older tourmalines, such as this, with the dark caps were relatively uncommon. 18 grams. Ex Robert Whitmore Collection # 30 (definitely an older piece). Valued at $750.
