Item Description

An old-time classic from the famous Cruzeiro Mine. This excellent, gemmy, lustrous and well-striated crystal has a variably green body followed by a pretty, teal-blue zone, just below the termination. The thin zone below the lustrous, frosted termination is dark green. The partial belt of lustrous, light lavender lepidolite is a very nifty accent. There is even a bit of pink in the core at the base -- a near watermelon. This classic cutie, from the 1960s or 70s, is nearly pristine, with only very trivial termination edgewear. Cruzeiros of this style and quality are not often seen today, except in older advanced recycled collections. Ex Jaime Bird Collection. 13 grams.
