Item Description
A rare, beautiful, bi-colored tourmaline specimen from Nepal's remote pegmatite deposits. The well-striated, lustrous, gemmy/translucent parallel-growth body is pastel-pink. A narrow 1 mm gem apple-green zone is at the termination. Peering down the water-clear termination the crystal looks golden-yellow with faint hints of pink. The coloration is not what you could call intense, but it is a pretty combination of pastel hues. Few specimens come to the market, they trickle out over the years, most from old stashes. Nepal tourmalines are RARE on the market compared to those from Pakistan or Afghanistan. Most were recovered in the 1950s and 60s. 33.99 carats or nearly 5 grams mass.
