An OLD-TIME, CLASSIC and beautiful tourmaline from Newry, Maine. This gemmy and lustrous, sharply terminated, bi-colored crystal grades from pastel-green at the base to a very pleasing teal-blue in the upper half of the crystal. The crystal is complete all-around, and even though there is an obvious contact on the back, there is actually very minimal bruising associated with it, as you can see. A VERY HIGHLY representative old-timer of the species and historic locale. Probably around 100 years old, because it came out of the Russell Jones Collection and was not from the modern era 1972 rediscovery of such crystals. 20 grams.. Valued $1250
