Item Description
The famous pegmatites at Virgem da Lapa produced a striking NEW find of tourmalines around Christmas, 2009 and this is an excellent example. The body of the gemmy and lustrous, parallel-growth, flattened crystal is a pleasing bottle-green. The lustrous, pyramidal termination is opaque super dark green. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, a bit of very trivial sidewear on one side and termination edgewear is noted. The termination of the sidecar crystal is broken, but is a modest detraction. A beautiful, highly representative tourmaline from the new find. 13 grams. valued $900
