Bi-colored Tourmaline, Cleavelandite & Quartz (ex Reynolds Coll.)

Item Description

Showy and classic tourmaline combination from the famous pegmatites at Stak Nala. Five bi-colored tourmalines are aesthetically set in the sculptural, coated, bladed cleavelandite matrix. The highly lustrous, well-striated trigonal tourmalines has schorl bodies crowned by multi-hued, gemmy, olive-green sections with frosted pinacoidal terminations. The striking tourmaline on the lower left is 3.5 cm tall and the protruding on the bottom tourmaline on the right is 4.9 cm tall. The upper most tourmaline has a broken and recrystallized termination and some bruising to the cleavelandite blades are noted, but are certainly only modest detractions. An out-of-sight 1.8 cm terminated quartz crystal on the backside is a typical and nice accessory. Ex Bob Reynolds Collection. A fine and artistic example of the combination species and noted locale.
