Item Description
An aesthetic and unusual combination specimen from the most famous tourmaline locality in Pakistan. The tourmaline has the classic, bi-colored form with the gemmy, soft baby pink termination, a coloress zone, a very narrow apple-green zone, a gemmy olive-green zone and the very dark olive-green body. The large, lustrous, cleavelandite "frill" is unusually included with microcrystalline schorl. The back of this blade and the other cleavelandite blades on the back are coated with tiny, nubby, schorl crystals. Weird looking. The large cleavelandite is in very good shape overall, with most of the periphery wear being on the lower left edge. We have seen many tourmaline specimens from Stak Nala, but none like this. These pieces are becomingly increasingly difficult to find in today's market. This fine and unusual combination miniature dates to the 1980s finds. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock, who brought most of these to market. Herb valued this rarity at $400, five or more years ago.
