Item Description

Beautiful teal-blue to bottle-green color characterizes this unusually shaped, flattened, parallel-growth cluster of lustrous, glassy, well-striated elbaite crystals from classic Virgem da Lapa. The crystals range from translucent to gemmy and the sidecar crystals and the little cluster of gemmy brown lepidolites add character. The termination is contacted, has embedded cleavelandite, but there is really very little bruising. Complete all-around and in great shape. This is a classic style and color from this noted locale. Older material from 1960s-70s finds. 52 grams mass.
