Item Description
A colorful and sculptural, bi-colored elbaite from this classic Brazilian pegmatite district. The terminations of the prismatic and flattened parallel-growth crystal cluster are quite gemmy and have very pretty, rose-red color. The lower half of the highly lustrous and striated crystals is starkly contrasting, gemmy to translucent, bottle-green. The frontal display view is pristine, with the contacting on the back being out-of-sight. Such fine colorful combinations are uncommon from Virgem da Lapa and date to 1960s or 70s finds. 20 grams mass.
