Item Description
A classic bi-colored, rich pink tourmaline with a faint blue-green cap when held level to the eye, from old mining in this classic and famous mine. The highly lustrous, well-striated crystal is translucent/gemmy and the termination is frosted. Complete all-around. The termination has impression, with no damage, where a cleavelandite blade once lay and one edge is lightly dinged. The embedded cleavelandite blades on the sides are a fine accessory and the contacting noted around the base is certainly only a modest detraction to this excellent, large, highly representative elbaite from this famed locale. Ex Art Soregaroli Collection. 167 grams mass.
