Item Description

A very aesthetic and very fine combination specimen from the most famous tourmaline locality in Pakistan. The "frills" of lustrous, pearlescent, cleavelandite blades look like angel wings! We have seen many tourmaline specimens from Stak Nala for many years and the one characteristic of that many of them lacked was decent color. This crystal feature several colors ranging from beautiful soft baby pink at the termination, to bright greenish-yellow to the dark olive-green shades of the body. The prisms and terminations of the tourmalines are highly lustrous, which is NOT common for these crystals. The gemminess is outstanding and the sharp color zoning is breathtaking. The side car crystals hidden on the back add much pizzazz. This is a great display piece and a wonderful pegmatite specimen from a classic locality. These piece are becomingly increasingly difficult to find in todays market. This super miniature dates to the 1980s finds. Ex Herb Obodda specimen, who brought most of these to market. Valued at $700-800.
