Item Description
A very aesthetic, very fine and surprising combination specimen from the most famous tourmaline locality in Pakistan. The "frills" of lustrous, pearlescent, cleavelandite blades strikingly separate and hide, from each other, two beautiful bi-colored tourmaline crystals. We have seen many tourmaline specimens from Stak Nala for many years and the one characteristic of that many of them lacked was decent color. These crystals feature several colors ranging soft baby pink at the terminations, to bright greenish-yellows to dark olive-green shades at the base of the crystals. The prisms and terminations of the tourmalines are highly lustrous, which is NOT common for these crystals. The gemminess is outstanding and the sharp color zoning on the frontal crystal is breathtaking. This is a great display piece and a wonderful pegmatite specimen from a classic locality. These piece are becomingly increasingly difficult to find in todays market. This super miniature dates to the 1980s finds. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock, who brought most of these to market.
