Item Description
An aesthetic combination specimen from the most famous tourmaline locality in Pakistan. The "frills" of lustrous, pearlescent, cleavelandite blades accent and jauntily support the beautiful bi-colored tourmaline. We have seen many tourmaline specimens from Stak Nala for many years and the one characteristic of that many of them lacked was decent color. The vivid soft baby pink is underlain by bright apple-green to dark olive-green to black shades at the base of the crystal. The prism faces and matte-black termination are highly lustrous, which is NOT common for these crystals. The gemminess is outstanding and the sharp color zoning is breathtaking. This is a great display piece and a wonderful pegmatite specimen from a classic locality. The tourmaline is essentially pristine, with only the most trivial of termination edge wear on one spot. These piece are becomingly increasingly difficult to find in todays market. This super miniature dates to the 1980s finds. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock, who brought most of these to market.
