Item Description
An aesthetic combination specimen from the most famous tourmaline locality in Pakistan. The corsage of nubby pearlescent, albite crystals jauntily support the beautiful bi-colored tourmaline. The lower section is opaque, very dark green followed by the beautiful, gemmy, bottle-green middle. Sharply above is the starkly contrasting very soft baby pink to nearly achroite termination zone. The well-striated prism faces and matte-black termination are highly lustrous, which is NOT common for these crystals. The gemminess is excellent and the sharp color zoning is breathtaking. This is a great display piece and a wonderful pegmatite specimen from a classic locality. The tourmaline is pristine. These piece are becomingly increasingly difficult to find in todays market. This super miniature dates to the 1980s finds. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock, who brought most of these to market.
