Item Description
An impressive and beautiful large bi-colored smithsonite from this famous extinct locale. Gorgeous, translucent, pretty blush-pink and lavender bubbly botryoids with waxy luster cover both sides of the sculptural mounded matrix. The form, color and richness of this piece are very noteworthy. This is fine older material, from the 1970s or 80s, from the El Refugio Mine at Choix. Classic material from this mined out locale, that was documented in a 2011 Mineralogical Record Special Issue. Valued at $1000-1250.
