Juicy, translucent, vivid pink smithsonite botryoids cover a thin rind of banded gray smithsonite on a bit of limestone matrix on this showy bi-colored piece. Older - 1960s or 1970s vintage material from the El Refugio Mine at Choix.. Excellent and classic material from this mined out locale, that was documented in a 2011 Mineralogical Record Special Issue. This showy piece has multiple display possibilities.
