Bi-colored Pyromorphite (classic locale)

This dramatic specimen is a large, full miniature from the renowned French locale for pyromorphite, which many collectors consider to be among the most "elite" of the historic localities. The excellent piece displays from multiple angles, as you can see. The two aesthetic and adjacent clusters of strongly hoppered crystals are especially noteworthy. Crystals reach 1.4 cm here and all crystals are highly lustrous. It has a few damaged crystals around the periphery, in some display views, but the core and the major crystals are all undamaged and 3-dimensional, freestanding. This piece has a particularly appealing play of colors to it including green, yellow and brown hues. Classic Les Farges valued at $2000.
