Bi-colored gem Tourmaline on DT Quartz (superb)

A superb and gorgeous, 5.0 cm, gemmy, bi-colored teal-blue and apple-green, tourmaline is dramatically attached to the side of doubly terminated, floater quartz crystal from Mawi, Afghanistan. The teal-blue termination area is beautifully limpid above the complimentary green base. The quartz crystal is lustrous, translucent and has frosted faces. The smaller elbaites on the quartz back side, to 2.3 cm, are a super accent. Complete all-around and very nearly pristine. The tourmaline termination and one quartz termination have only the most trivial of bruising and one spot of trivial edge wear to the quartz is noted. The tourmaline side cars are pristine, except for the broken base of one them. The 2.3 cm elbaite is also bi-colored and doubly terminated! Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $125, for free. Rarely will you see a Mawi or Afghanistan tourmaline and quartz with such quality and outstanding aesthetics.
