Item Description
A gorgeous, gemmy, lustrous, bi-colored, tourmaline from Pech, Afghanistan. The emerald-green body of this glassy, well-striated crystal just glows with color when backlit. The extremely gemmy, complex pyramidal termination scintillates with flashes of pink and yellow-green. It reminds me of a Coronel Murta Brazilian tourmaline. A very fine bi-colored tourmaline from this locale. The two display faces and termination are very nearly pristine, with only one trivial spot of edgewear at the base of the a termination face. The back is contacted, but is out of sight and really has only very minor bruising at the base of the crystal. 58 grams. Valued at $700-900. Far fewer of these are available today with the ongoing war.
