Item Description
An impressive bi-colored, doubly terminated, floater spodumene crystal from this noted locale and the Herb Obodda dealer stock. The sharply terminated upper half of the glassy, water-clear, waxy luster tabular gem crystal is very light yellow-green (triphane) with the lower half being a pretty light pink (kunzite). The color variations are common for Afghanistan spodumenes. The prism faces are very well-striated and the edge faces are lightly frosted and smooth. Both terminations are etched and frosted. Complete all-around and essentially pristine, with only the most trivial of edge wear. DIFFICULT to photograph due to the gemminess, luster and striations. A very fine crystal. Not many are around today with continuing conflict. Valued by Herb at $300, more than 5 years ago. 49 grams.
