Item Description
Beautiful bi-colored fluorite cubes are dramatically and aesthetically clustered on the fantastically sculptural septa-like quartz plate matrix on this fine combination from the famous Le Beix Mine. The cubes, to 2.5 cm, have rich robins egg-blue and clear sections, adding pizzazz. Purple fluorescence. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 10484 and acquired from Al McGuiness in July, 1984. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). A striking and nearly pristine 360-degree classic combination with only one gently bruised cube corner. Even the bottom has character!
