An outstanding and sculptural fluorite on sphalerite combination from the mid-2000s finds at the Gibraltar Mine at famed Naica. Dramatic gem colorless intergrown cuboctahedrons rest atop beautiful gem mint-green cuboctahedrons on the sphalerite with pyrite matrix. The stunning fortification colorless crystals on the primary face are finely complemented by the two largest isolated fluorites, up to 3.0 cm across. All of the fluorites are water-clear gem. Fantastically, all of the cube prism faces are water-clear and you can view into crystals like a TV screen seeing the scattered included pyrite crystals. The surrounding modifying edge faces to the cuboctohedra have satin lustre, adding a striking surreal visual aspect to this very fine classic matrix fluorite. Interestingly, the green fluorite fluoresces purple, while the color fluorite does not fluoresce. An exceptional rich 2-color matrix fluorite with exotic form from the Gibraltar Mine.
