Item Description

Intergrown, translucent, banded, sea-green and rich purple, fluorite octahedrons, to 4 cm, cover the brecciated granitic matrix on this showy large two-sided plate from a very obscure Grant County locale, not listed by MINDAT. The interior of this excellent two-sided piece is pristine. Purple fluorescence. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and acquired in 1979 at Tucson. Perhaps the true locality was not known at that time.
