Item Description

An impressive large fluorite specimen with large fluorite cubes from the recent finds at the Rogerley Mine. Some of the bi-colored green cubes, to a healthy 6.7 x 6.0 cm, have very gemmy corners. The two primary cubes are dramatic from either direction. The piece is cored with violet and yellow fluorite. Periphery wear is noted, but this remains a large, very sculptural, highly representative example of the species and famous locale. Two faces on the back have been sawed, so the piece displays well from either direction. The large cube has only one gently bruised corner. SUPER fluorescence, as you would expect. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection and purchased at the Rocks and Minerals magazine silent auction at Tucson in 2010.
