Item Description
Fluorite specimens are VERY RARE from this obscure New Mexico locality. An impressive 3.5 cm doubly terminated octahedron dominates the crest of this excellent mounded bi-colored piece. An outer rind of matte finish, nubby rich violet and light lavender fluorite covers the core of very glassy, translucent, bottle-green fluorite. Purple fluorescence. Collected by well-known New Mexico field collector Ray DeMark in June, 2015 and formerly in the Chris Cowan New Mexico Collection. A fine rarity and a must for the New Mexico or species collector.
