Classic, translucent, bi-colored fluorite octahedrons are strikingly and richly scattered on the contrasting needle quartz matrix on this aesthetic large plate from the De'an Mine. The translucent octos, to 2.9 cm have frosted faces with green interiors and nifty purple highlights. Some smaller octs are entirely purple. The fluorite fragments on the back side of the plate are green and purple. Excellent large material from this well-known and important Chinese find. Pristine. Purple fluorescence. Valued at $395 by the former dealer.
