Classic, translucent, bi-colored green with nifty purple highlights fluorite octahedrons to 2.2 cm are strikingly and richly scattered on the contrasting needle quartz matrix on this aesthetic large plate from the De'an Mine. The octos have frosted faces. The fluorite fragments on the back side of the plate are all green. Excellent large material from this well-known and important Chinese find. The interior is pristine and the bit of periphery wear is certainly only a modest detraction. Purple fluorescence.
