Item Description

Broadly botryoidal composite fluorite crystals comprise this impressive and sculptural small cabinet from a New Find near Xinyang City, Henan, China. The pleasing satin luster, translucent botryoids are bi-colored. The attachment on the back reveals the banding of a golden-amber core beneath the greenish-yellow outer layer. The translucent fluorite has a nice, warm golden glow, when backlit. The underlying matrix is Baryte. Purple LW UV fluorescence. The Xinyang, Henan area is famous for rare purple botryoidal fluorite and this is another fine, New Find of exotic variety, form and color from the area.
