Item Description

A striking small cabinet bi-colored fluorite plate from recent new finds (after 2015) at an unexpected worldwide locality - Larkin's Quarry in Ireland. Densely intergrown translucent fluorite cubes, to 1.5 cm, have satin luster etched faces. The cubes are mostly light purple and all have darker violet interior phantoms. Areas of stunning yellow-green color add a dramatic visual aspect to the crystals. The interior is pristine and the bit of periphery wear is certainly only a modest detraction. Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $145, for free. See the 2021 Mineralogical Record article in Vol. 52, No. 2. Ex Jim Boteler Fluorite Collection.
