Item Description

A dramatic and excellent CABINET combination specimen from the famous Minerva # 1 Mine. Glassy, transparent, fluorite cubes to 2.7 cm are aesthetically set at the top of a plate of rubyjack sphalerite crystals richly dusted with brassy chalcopyrite microcrystals. The fluorites have pretty, pastel-yellow interiors with striking light blue/purple rims. Many of the cubes have interesting rippled/stepped-growth faces, while others are glass-clear. There is even a 2.0 cm, doubly terminated calcite pencil at the bottom of the piece! All of the major fluorites are pristine. The modest periphery wear is certainly not a detraction. This is outstanding, older material from the noted Rosiclare Level of the mine and is from the Larry Krause Collection. Valued at $600-800. Excellent purple fluorescence. MUCH, MUCH BETTER IN PESON!!
