Item Description

An old (circa 1900!), showy, bi-colored fluorite crystal specimen on a VERY RARE large plate of fine-grained sandstone matrix from a very obscure Spar Mountain mine. The richly scattered, lustrous, translucent, greenish-yellow cubes, to 2.9 cm, are colorfully accented with purple fluorite coatings and small cubes. This sculptural, exotic and very rare specimen has multiple fine display views. The cubes fluoresce bright ghostly-white. Ex Ross Lillie Collection # 2192. Value of such a specialized locality piece is hard to estimate.
