Item Description

A showy and excellent, large two-sided combination plate from this well-known Asturias mine. Very glassy, transparent, interpenetrating, pretty light golden-yellow fluorite cubes to 9 mm cover the mounded plate. Thinner portions of the plate have a yellow-green tint from a thin underlying layer of tiny green fluorites. The surprising flat back is totally covered with tiny, frosted calcite scalenohedrons. Nearly pristine, with only a contact along one edge. Modest white fluorescence. MUCH BETTER IN PERSON.
